"You Pick It." This is what we hear many times when asked for a preference. It might be that we don’t want to make a selection that might not be possible or it might not be what the other person would like.

But when it comes to God each of us has been given several spiritual gifts. God asks you to pick which one you will use. Gifts of Helps, Faith, Hospitality, Music, Intersection, Teaching, Prophecy, Administration, Healing, Preaching... but it doesn’t stop there.

Since we all are endowed with different gifts, we should try to understand our gifts to get started using them. The reality is that God gives gifts of the Spirit to everyone and He gives gifts as the body needs them. Example: We needed a minister of music; God gave us brother Kelsaw. Every earthly need that the body of Christ has, can be met by the members of the body or someone who is called to the body by the Holy Spirit. Bro. Kelsaw could have said, “No thank you. I’ll just hang my gifts on the shelf and sit down somewhere.” But he heard the Spirit speak to him that Mt Zion was the place for him.

This is where you ask: What are my gifts? How do I use my gifts? When can I get started? Can I get different or more gifts?

I’m glaaad you asked.

Start with prayer about how you are made up…ask the maker. You’ll soon see that you have many gifts that haven’t been touch on or brought out. In basic discipleship class there is a gifts assessment that you can take to assist you in finding out about your gifts. Talk with Pastor James, one of the ministers, deacons or fellow Sheepfold member about your leaning toward certain gifts. Pray with them for clarity of how you can use your gifts. Then consider these 2 scriptures from 1Cor 12. They note everyone has gifts to work within the body and we should desire greater manifestations of the Spirit which leads us to growth into greater gifts. 1Cor 12:7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.
1Cor 12:31 But eagerly desire the greater gifts. And now I will show you the most excellent way.

The question God keeps asking is, “Which gift will you use?”

Jobs Networking at the cafe

The Unleavened Bread Cafe was buzzin' again this morning... A big meeting was going on in the back room, and our U.B.bloggin' (internet training) group was out in the front of the cafe. Another new young lady joined our networking group this morning. [Welcome Rachel!] And James & Thomas were back with us again this morning, and the normal crowd. So the group continues growing & growing...

And that's the essence of the theme here... the more the merrier. 'Teams' and 'networks' can help people success more often than 'Lone-Rangers'.

Example: Today Rachel asked... "How could I use the internet for job-hunting... or starting a cleaning business?" A perfect question. And something that a network can help with. Thus the need to keep networking further & further.

Here were a few ideas we all came up with...

Getting good at SEARCHING (finding) stuff on the net.
Publishing what we now know, and what we learn.
And who we connect to.
